District 4 Supports Members on Strike at Verizon East
Across the District, members are hitting the streets in support of our Sisters and Brothers in District 1 and District 2-13.
39,000 Verizon workers from both the Communications Workers of America and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers went on strike April 12th after months of bargaining without reaching a deal. The heart of the fight is based around corporate greed as Verizon, who continues to make exorbitant profits and pay executives ridiculous salaries, looks to shift more health care costs to their employees and eliminate vital contract provisions.
D-4 will continue to support Verizon Workers as long as it takes to reach a fair deal.
