CWA/AT&T Midwest Bargaining Report #10
CWA/AT&T Midwest Bargaining Report #10
March 16, 2018
Fighting Today…Focused on the Future!
This morning our committee met with the company where they passed proposals to eliminate job security for CWA members across the Midwest by deleting the Employment Security Commitment and the Extended Employment Opportunity Period from our contract.
We have repeatedly told the company that this is UNACCEPTABLE!
The company also passed proposals on Appendix A22 (Training Opportunity Plan), Appendix A11 (Non-Management Staffing Process), Appendix A24 (Surplus Training/Retraining Procedures) and two letters outside of the contract regarding Recall Procedures and Mobility Retail Job Offers.
This afternoon the union and company benefits subcommittees met to continue discussing how to improve benefits for all members.
Along with the committee meetings, this afternoon the Union passed a proposal to strengthen the security of all our jobs by adding additional language that will improve Appendix A10 (Contracting Out Review). A proposal was also passed on the Neutral Evaluation Process.
Tentative agreements were reached on 2 letters outside the contract regarding the Vacation and Holiday Committee and a Dues Deduction letter.
Ten straight days in…still a long way to go!
In Solidarity,
