CWA/AT&T Midwest Bargaining Report #22
Fighting Today…Focused on the Future!
This morning the committee spent time looking at multiple issues, including; ways to deal with Wage Zone disparity across the Midwest region, Article 26, and Common Attendance Guidelines.
This afternoon the Union continued to focus on JOBS!
We passed a proposal that would strengthen our Contracting Out language to retain and create more employment in the Midwest region. We also passed proposals to consolidate Wage Zones and rejected the company’s proposal to eliminate the Common Attendance Guidelines and countered to keep current language, thus protecting CWA members from unfair discipline.
Interestingly, the Company had no proposals for us today.
Do they think it’s still April Fool’s Day? Expiration is in less than 2 weeks!
