CWA/AT&T Midwest Bargaining Report #70
June 4, 2018
Fighting Today…Focused on the Future!
This afternoon the Marketing Subcommittee met again with Company representatives and had productive discussions on ways to improve monitoring in the Midwest call centers.
The Union also met with the Company regarding Appendix A29 (Pooled Titles) to try and determine what changes, if any, from the original intent of the article, have occurred since the Company has restructured departments.
The Committee was notified of another email that AT&T has sent to bargaining unit members. The Company is undoubtedly well aware at this point that their emails are not well received by CWA members across the Midwest. These communications, dealing directly with CWA membership, are currently the subject of a National Labor Relations Board charge and are in no way helpful to the bargaining process. Our position on this issue is that the company should be bargaining solely with this committee.
That being said, we have met with AT&T late last week, over the weekend and today. We expect to continue to bargain with them until we reach a tentative agreement.
