University of Akron Bargaining Update

The bargaining teams for the Trades group and Staff Bargaining unit met with the University to open contract negotiations on Monday (June 21st). Both sides came to an agreement to extend the current contracts and the MOU’s until the new contract agreements are reached. Our meeting today begins the bargaining process. 

The next scheduled bargaining sessions will be held on June 30th. You should be able to check the CWA web page a few days after the meeting for an update.
