 Bargaining update for the University of Akron SBU and Trades Bargaining Units

 Your Bargaining Teams met with the University today.

The University and CWA have been unable to come to an agreement with regards to wages.

Since there is no agreement, we will be moving to the contract mediation process as required by Ohio state law.

Due to mediators’ availability, the mediation process may not be able to begin till after the beginning of the year. Updates will be communicated as they occur.

Your Bargaining team remains committed through this lengthy process to do what is best for all members of the bargaining unit.
