CWA/AT&T Midwest Bargaining Report #37

April 15, 2018

Fighting Today…Focused on the Future!

After a long, exhausting, and disappointing day and night yesterday, the Union Committee was bolstered seeing all the pictures and videos of members participating in activities for the contract countdown.  Even though the contract expired without an agreement, it did make AT$T a little nervous seeing how much support you are giving this committee!

This morning, as we arrived at AT$T’s office building to meet with the Company, we were welcomed by a group of CWA members from Local 4340 in Ohio, Local 4900 in Indiana, and a union postal worker, who were informational picketing. It was a great way to start the day and their presence was appreciated!

We reached two tentative agreements with the company this evening on Article 14 (Net Credited Service and Seniority) and Appendix A12 (Midwest Customer Service Response Team).

The Union also passed proposals to improve or retain AppendixA17 (Guaranteed Personal Time Off), Appendix A11 (Non-Management Staffing Process) Article 12 (Problem Resolution Procedures), Appendix F (Main Agreement), Appendix F(Attachments I, II and III) and an agreement to create a Workplace Improvement Committee.

Mobilizing in and at your workplaces will be key to moving AT$T to deliver a fair contract that we deserve.  Keep up the mobilization!!! Ratchet it up!!  The Company is hearing Your voices!
