CWA/UA Update

Per the current language in the CWA contracts, the joint administration-CWA committee has been formed and meeting on a regular basis to review wage compression and market adjustments.  The committee is taking a comprehensive look at the current wages of employees in both of the CWA unions at the University of Akron (UA), and the average wages for comparable positions at other higher education institutions within Ohio, in addition to considering seniorityand years of service.  Once the committee completes the review, a recommendation based on all information will be submitted to UA Administration for consideration.  We will provide further updates as they become available.
