Communications Workers of America, District 4 Reaches a Tentative Agreement with AT&T Midwest, LLC.

On January 25th, the District 4 Elected Bargaining Team reached a Tentative Agreement with AT&T Midwest. The agreement provides a robust compensation package with wage increases of 14.5% (15.3% compounded) over the four-year agreement. A $1000 Ratification Bonus if ratified by March 12 th . A new Health Care plan with more options, wellness incentives, matched HSA contributions for eligible plan options, and other enhancements will be available to our members, while maintaining a cost share that keeps more earnings in their pockets.

The negotiated retirement benefits were significantly improved with more opportunities for matched contributions as well as annual increases to the pension bands for members covered by the banded pension plan.

The bargaining team was able to provide Appendix F members with a significant list of enhancements including wage scale adjustments, an additional 3% bump in wages, lower overtime caps, double-time after 54hr/wk and many other improvements to their work conditions.

Lastly, as always in District 4, we fought hard to protect our Employment Security provisions, keeping the backbone of our contract intact!

District 4’s Local Presidents attended a Contract explanation meeting on February 5th where the Bargaining Team shared all the details of the Tentative Agreement. Locals will be holding contract explanation meetings with their membership in the near future. Please make sure you watch for meeting dates and times from your Local Officers.
