CWA/AT&T Midwest Bargaining Report #18
March 26, 2018
Fighting Today…Focused on the Future!
Yesterday, the Committee met to review proposals, to date, and prepare for today’s meeting with the Company.
The Company passed proposals this morning to reject the Union’s proposal to renew Appendix A4 (Regional Joint Benefits Forum) and proposals to renew Appendices D2 and D3 (Benefit Investigation Committee and Legally Recognized Partners). They also proposed eliminating Appendix D4 (Pre-Retirement Survivor Benefit).
This afternoon, the Union proposed renewing Article 2 (Definitions). We rejected the Company’s proposals to delete Appendix A18 (Overtime), Appendix B1 (Job Duties), Appendix D4 (Pre-Retirement Survivor Benefit), and made counterproposals to protect current language.
Tentative agreements were reached on Appendices D2 and D3 (Benefit Investigation Committee and Legally Recognized Partners) and Appendix A16 (Labor Advisory Forum).
The Committee is working hard to achieve an agreement that is simply fair and just. Unfortunately, the Company doesn’t seem to know what those words mean.
