CWA/AT&T Midwest Bargaining Report #30
April 10, 2018
Fighting Today…Focused on the Future!
The Company started our Health Care Mobilization Day just the way we expected. They passed another proposal to drastically change the way our medical plans look, and the costs paid by our members. It’s not enough that they win tax breaks of astronomical proportions…they want more from us with lesser benefits!
Additional proposals were passed on Article 27 (Operator Services), Appendix B1 (Job Duties, Service Tech, etc.) and Appendix A36 (Benefit Rules for Movement).
This afternoon the Union passed proposals on Articles 2 (Definitions), Article 3 (Non-Discrimination), Article 10 (Union Officers and Representatives), Article 14 (Net Credited Service and Seniority), Article 18 (Treatment of Time Not Worked) and a letter regarding Internet Access.
The Article 26 sub-committee continued to work on the Unions next proposal to enhance job security.
It was great to see all the mobilization activities that occurred in today around the Company’s nauseating health care proposals! And a real boost to see that so many thousands of our members took time out of their busy lives to join in the Bargaining Town Hall Call tonight.
We need to keep up the pressure on AT$T to get serious about bargaining if we have any hope of being close to an agreement by Saturday at midnight.
