CWA/AT&T Midwest Bargaining Report #87
We are sure that everyone is aware of the Company correspondence regarding the status of bargaining, that went out yesterday.
In the update, which is quite similar to a previously circulated document, the company again lists items included in their Final Offer proposed in August. As always, the devil is in the details, which they chose to leave out of this document. The Company’s “highlights” are not as interesting of a read as the “lowlights” which go unmentioned. Those of you who have taken the time to review the “Final Offer”, which the Company shared with all employees in the Fall, know there are retrogressive changes to our Health Care plans and employment security provisions which are obviously not contained in the 12/11/18 update.
Communications between the Company and CWA have taken place (also not mentioned in the update) to discuss our concerns about these topics, as well as sustained employment for our members including access to work available to them today. These conversations are part of our continued effort to find common ground and reach a tentative agreement for our members.
We will be going over these and other topics during the town hall call scheduled for Monday, December 17th at 7:30 pm ET. Be sure to sign up for the call at:
