DIRECTV Bargaining Report #10
DIRECTV Bargaining Report #10
On Tuesday afternoon, September 20, 2016 the CWA Bargaining Committee met with the Company Committee. The Company Committee presented the Union Committee with complete package proposals. There were separate proposals for Districts 3, 4 and 6.
The Company’s package proposals were comprehensive and included wages, benefits, and working conditions. These proposals did address some of the CWA Bargaining demands. However the Company’s proposals are still lacking in many areas.
The Union Committee studied the Company’s proposals late into the evening. The Committee will continue to work on Wednesday analyzing data and working to prepare counter proposals to the Company’s package proposals.
The former DIRECTV employees deserve better work rules, benefits and wage treatment than the Company has so far proposed. The Union Committee is determined to continue negotiations in achieving the best settlement possible for our Members.
