Mericle Long

Mericle Long is currently the President of CWA Local 4501 and the first woman to hold the position. She was elected to her first term of the Local’s Recording Secretary beginning in 2018.  She then won election to the position of Executive Vice President. She has been employed at the Medical Center for over 26 years, working in six different positions and has been a Union member the entire time. Prior to becoming the Lead Chief Steward, she served as a union steward for 18 years.  She is the proud mother of three adult children and eight grandchildren.
