How to request and vote an absentee ballot (no Photo ID required)
- Absentee ballots must be requested at least 7 days before Election Day. Request your ballot as early as possible.
- Carefully follow all directions and complete the absentee ballot application form, print and return (mail or drop off) to your county Board of Elections office.
- Vote your ballot and return as soon as possible. Mail or drop off your ballot to your county Board of Elections office. Use one stamp per page if mailing.
- Track your ballot at voteohio.gov.
- Voted ballots must be postmarked by the day before Election Day and received by the 4th day after Election Day.
What’s a Valid Photo ID?
Ohio Driver’s License (including temporary, suspended or restricted), Ohio ID Card, US Passport, Ohio issued National Guard ID, US Military ID, or US Dept. of Veterans Affairs ID.
Early Voting Tip
Check the Early Voting schedule and make a plan. It has changed since last year. You can no longer vote in person on the Monday before Election Day.
