CWA/AT&T Midwest Bargaining Report #83
August 21, 2018
Fighting Today…Focused on the Future!
Your Union bargaining team is traveling to Chicago this Sunday with plans to meet with AT&T on Monday. At this time, it is unknown what AT&T is preparing to present to the Union.
The Union’s position remains unchanged. We must have a commitment from AT&T to bring new work into this bargaining unit. AT&T must also stop its practice of offshoring and outsourcing work to the lowest bidder, decimating good jobs in our communities, customer service, and satisfaction in the process.
The offshored and outsourced work, such as; call center/customer service, engineering/construction and installation, repair of entertainment and connectivity services, and numerous others could easily be returned to CWA members who offer our customers a superior experience compared to the vendors who currently perform such work.
As the bargaining team prepares to return to the table, remind management that we all are concerned about secure employment and work being returned to our membership so we can continue to provide the kind of service and quality that only CWA members can provide!
Mobilize!
In Solidarity,
Your CWA District 4 Bargaining Team
